Participant Application

This is the official application form for the International Youth Leadership Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Please read over the following information carefully before submitting your application. If you have any questions, send an email to info@iylc.com and you will be answered promptly.


Application Process


All applications must be submitted online with the form below.


Eligibility


The IYLC will select Conference participants in a manner that ensures relative uniformity of educational levels, while providing for a high level of geographic diversity. All nationalities are welcome to apply.


For the purposes of group cohesion, each applicant will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

  • Educational level and area of study.
  • Command of English - You do not have to be a native English speaker, however, the IYLC is conducted in English.
  • Age - If you are older than 26, please consider attending as an observer.
  • Quality of short essay or professor recommendation.

Rounds of acceptances


The IYLC team processes applications on a weekly basis. Successful applicants will be notified on Mondays.


To secure your place at the Conference we need you to pay a non-refundable deposit of 200 USD. Once you are ready to make your final payment, the deposit will be deducted from your Conference Fee. Given the limited spaces available and the number of applications received this year, we can only guarantee your place on the conference upon receipt of your deposit.


Conference Fee: 1650 USD


Included in this price:

  • 5 nights accommodation at the Conference Venue
  • All meals
  • All local transportation
  • Airport greeting
  • All field trips, site visits, guest lectures, panel discussions and workshops
  • All receptions and networking events
  • Certificate of achievement


(Civic Concepts International & Youth Leadership Europe reserve the right to postpone this conference should the number of participants be less than 30.)


Please do not make any conference fee payments until you receive the official Acceptance Notification from us. It is strongly recommended, that all of the necessary visa and travel arrangement are made before the conference fee is paid. The conference is limited to 120 participants. The only way to guarantee your place is to pay. Please do not wait until the last minute to make arrangements for payment.

Early Bird Discounts


The Early Bird Discount* is a limited-time offer available to all accepted applicants, who make their final conference payments in a specified time frame:

30% (495 USD) Early Bird discount will apply to all payments made before: July 15th, 2017 (Fee: 1155 USD).

20% (330 USD) Early Bird discount will apply to all payments made before: August 15th, 2017 (Fee: 1320 USD).

10% (165 USD) Early Bird discount will apply to all payments made before: September 15th, 2017 (Fee: 1485 USD).

Group Discount: 20% (330 USD) will apply to each participant made in a group of 5 – 6 students.
